Suitable to this late autumn melancholic mood, the vinyl-version of the latest album "The Edge of Silence" by BRIGITTE HANDLEY is released exclusively on HALB-7-RECORDS.

"Still are our lives - Where the day meets the night - We are still"

The first frosty nights are already slowly announcing the approaching winter. Accordingly, we have chosen "ice-white" as a suitable vinyl color.

Thanks to the wonderful cover size, the special artwork is now more effective. In addition the record is equipped with an informative and high-quality graphic inner cover and 4-colored labels (Brigitte and guitar in "standby" mode).

The regular issue is limited to 200 vinyl, all numbered. 30 pieces are signed by the artist and only available at concerts. 10 of these contain super rare signed set lists and autographed posters.

As a special highlight there is a collectors edition available. We want to connect music and art more during our work, so we developed an "Art-Edition" for the first time in the label’s history. For this purpose, a special artistic print was designed. These are issued in combination with the vinyl press, as a limited box.

Thats exactly only 44 pieces.

On the illustration you will see Brigitte Handley in front of a huge pipe organ, in a secret place. The label boss "Fx" is responsible for this work of creative art. The illustration has been reproduced on a special photo canvas, which has been upgraded with a wooden stretcher frame and signed by Brigitte Handley and Mr Fx. But thats not all: in this edition you can find also an "old school" DVD with two exclusive videos of singles from the new album. The first is the clip "Still Lives…", which is only available in classic-minimal black-and-white and the second is "The Model", where Brigitte introduces her new "friend" Wolfgang. The cover art comes with a special UV varnish in minimal black-and-white.

The new album "The Edge of Silence" includes beside an exclusive and extravagant cover version by KRAFTWERKs "The Model" (… he is the model …), nine wonderful reinterpretations of the most beautiful DARK SHADOWS songs. But the new versions are not just self-copied cover pieces, rather a perfect synthesis of Brigitte’s unique smoky and seductive vocals with acoustic guitar sound. The graceful melodies are aesthetically enhanced through atmospheric synthesizer and electronically generated soundscapes as well as soft bass channels and discreetly inserted percussion.

As a special bonus and only here on the LP version, the hit "Sleeping with a Vampyre" can be heard in a really strong unpublished acoustic version.

With "The Edge of Silence", Brigitte Handley continues her deepened musical path consistently and intentionally. Without adapting and plagiarizing herself, the charismatic and attractive lady once again proves her astounding versatility. Apparently effortless, she shows creatively and with musical energy, as well-known and classical DARK SHADOWS songs are…moody and modern, so that a new piece of music is created without losing the reference to the original.
