With their new single album, the Bloodsucking Zombies from outer Space break new ground with some songs with Viennese dialect lyrics. It starts with the desperate ballad „Mörder Blues“, already known from their last full-length album „Return of…“, here in the new radio version.
A song that became a secret live - favorite of their fans in the last year. It goes on with the „Frauenmörder Weinwurm“, a song with sing-along quality about a Viennese serial killer in the 60ies. Then the Zombies pay tribute to Vienna’s legendary shock-rock band „Drahdiwaberl“ with their song „Supersheriff“ featuring Drahdiwaberl mastermind Prof. Stefan Weber himself on guest vocals. The second ballad of the single is called „A schene Leich“. It brings some western feeling to the ear of the listener, and lets him believe that the famous Viennese central cemetery lies somewhere in Texas. The 5 th song „Oasch und Leiwand“ is a one-minute swan song to the excessive youth culture of status symbols and must haves… High noon – Showdown!
What is musically running like a trail of blood through the six songs is being visually staged to the point by cover artwork in funeral style. The bustle continues on the vinyl. The BS-side does not contain killer ballads as expected but has a creepy style. Through extensive and specific etching the pre-drawn motif reaches the artwork master and thus on the record. And that is how the circle is completed between the Central Cemetery, gloom and melancholy. The edition is strictly limited, there were only 333 copies worldwide pressed in black vinyl. For all collectors, there is a strictly limited and hand numbered special edition in white vinyl. The CD version also includes an original funeral card from the early 20s. Each card is a one of a kind and there is none like it. Some of the pieces contain original expressions of sympathy for a deceased person. The Zombies express their personal involvement with their signature on each copy. There are only 99 pieces! It can´t be any more authentic!
