THE GRISWALDS are an Anglo/Dutch Psychobilly collaboration who have been entertaining audiences all over the world for the past 25 years. If you want songs about love, hate, loneliness, homicidal maniac killers out to kill everyone and anyone, epic zombie battles, female soul sucking demons and 1970's childrens t.v. programme themes ……you got it! No subject is safe from these guys writing a song about. And if you want music that will make you tap your foot, have you whistling, dancing, jiving, skanking or just generally throwing yourself at the wall like an epileptic lemming, then this is just for you!
THE GRISWALDS…These are just a few of the things that have NEVER been said about us, so what can we say about those loveable rogues of psychobilly…The band was formed in 1987 by 4 likeminded musicians who just wanted to make music and have a good time. Now 25 years later the band is still going strong with all the original members…..apart from 3…….and with one extra guy. Over the years lead singer Gary GRISWALD has seen many people join and leave, mostly leave, and is now enjoying the company of 4 young dutchies. Accompanied by Ramone GRISWALD on bass, Joost GRISWALD and Simon GRISWALD on guitars and Eric GRISWALD on the drums, the band have just finished their followup album to "Who framed The Griswalds", entitled "Better late than never!". When asked about the newer members of the band Gary GRISWALD said "i'm just happy they all have the same name as me". Known for their energetic live performances, THE GRISWALDS have limited releases to their name, this they say is because they believe in quality rather than quantity, personally i believe it is because they are lazy bastards.
Now with their tongues stuck firmly in their cheeks they bring us their new album entitled "Better late than never". First Edition is limited to 1000 Digi.-Pack CDs with 8 Page Booklet incl. song-lyrics, pictures and infos.
Appositely we have a brandnew t-shirt + girly with 'Gary-chokes-Roger' cartoon. 2 color print on white shirt…200gr quality…designed by Norman Winter…exclusive distribution by HATE YOU ™.
INFO "Better Late than never"
1. Fright Night 2
Every good horror film deserves a sequel and so does every good song about horror films. Fright Night is a favorite from "Who framed The Griswalds" and is regularly included in the live shows.
2. Going Postal
The term used for when somebody just loses their mind and goes mental with a gun. This is what happens.
3. My Struggle
A very personal song written by Gary about his fight against depression and cocaine addiction. Lots of happy fun then!
4. Psychobilly in Love
A reworking of the old standard Teenager in Love, only better, stronger and faster, a bit like The Bionic Man.
5. Zombie War
We all know its coming, a war between the dead and the living, so why not sing about it!
6. She So Ugly
You go out for a drink with a few mates, go home drunk, then when you wake up and turn around you find them in the bed with you…….AAAArghhhh She so ugly.
7. Sucubus
You can never have too many songs about souls sucking female demons so here is another one!
8. We Stand Alone
You can be surrounded by friends and family all the time, but in the end……We stand alone.
9. Bustin' My Balls Boogie.
Not really a boogie, and not really about bustin' balls. This song is all about getting cheated on by your partner and dealing with it.
10. Banana Splits
A very popular childrens t.v show in the 1970's and a great theme tune that was just crying out to be Griswaldefied!!!
11. Crazy Jim.
To finish off the album, a grand old skanking knees up about a total f###ing idiot!
