After we accompanied the boys of THEE FLANDERS not long ago to their short trip through hell and back (LP/CD "Back from Hell" HALB 36-1/2), they now present the first "real" single named "Erna P.".
This publication will be the start for the soon to be released and long announced cover-LP "Graverobbing".
Obviously, THEE FLANDERS not only spread fear and terror on their creepy trip, but also cold-blooded took care of songs that rested in peace to long. On their wild trips through the underworld the five boys forced entry to the lost archives of mighty music-bosses to steal the most valued pieces. Merciless, they took the crown-jewels of lost music-decades to mix a high-percentage-hellish-cocktail by their own. No question, they marauder and rip, greedy they destruct all, what a well-behaved music-lover thought of being safe. The hunting-season was well and conserved with the following five coversongs to freeze your blood:
"Erna P." - the title-song, a 1984 b-side-song of DIE ÄRZTE on the rare single "Paul". Later this Song was found on the comilation "Ist das alles". A simple story about a lonely old lady living first floor, who is the victim of an unknown man. The song comes with the original lyrics, but a lot more psycho than the original. For Bonus, the expensive-made video of "Erna P." is also on this CD.
"Fleischzug" an classic psycho-song from MAD SIN can`t be let out here. The German version of „Meattrain at midnight“ attracts a lot attention on the "Monster Party" CD. But this version is better than the other and will be a real rarity for all music-lover. MAD SIN boss EL KÖFTE sings with Norman this great song - that`s "very psycho"! This song will be with "Erna P." the two highlights on this CD.
A little bit contemplative is "Stray Cats Strut" - at least the first tones…but in the sequel it`s like a crashcours for the 1st-may-demonstration in Berlin… The original song is from the STRAY CATS, you can find it on their 1st LP from `81.
The fourth song is the MAD SIN classic-song "Meattrain At Midnight". On the one hand the song is so good and on the other hand Norman sings the original english version. That`s good…
Here is another smash-hit "Do You Want Me Baby" of FRANTIC FLINTSTONES. These boys, along with the KINGS O.P.B., where psychos of the first hour in the early 80s. Consequently, this band is also on the FLANDERS top-list. The song was taken from the 92 released album "Cuttin´ A Fine Line".
"Happy Endings" from ELVIS is the ghost-track and the rock-and-rolliest track on the CD. Every Elvis-fan should be happy, because this song (original in the younger 60s) is a very rare one and not easy to get.
Also interesting may be the great cover-art-work of Norman WInter, which shows THEE FLANDERS in a damp chamber. Similarities to SIMPSONS are not just by chance; when the tracks are covered then the source of the band name should not be left out.
The CD comes in cool digi-pack with transparent tray and 4-coloured pages, the first release is limited to 2000 cd´s.
For classic-vinyl-lovers are only 333 7”-EP´s - so buy it now or never, because after one week it will be SOLD OUT! 7”-EP will come later.
